At ERKE Design, we provided consultancy services for the Holiday Inn Express Bursa Hotel under the LEED BD+C: New Construction (v2009) certification system. Completed in December 2017 at the Silver level, the project stands out with its environmentally conscious solutions in sustainable hotel design.
Sustainable Site Development:
The project earned 21 out of 26 points by incorporating features such as access to public transportation, parking spaces for low-emission vehicles, and bicycle parking facilities. These solutions support eco-friendly transportation options for hotel guests.
Water Efficiency:
Through innovative water management and efficient irrigation systems, the project achieved 6 out of 10 points in the water efficiency category. These measures provided both water savings and environmental benefits.
Energy Performance:
With energy efficiency solutions, the project scored 6 out of 35 points in the energy and atmosphere category. The integration of renewable energy sources contributed to reducing the facility's energy costs.
Materials and Resources Management:
By using recycled and locally sourced materials and implementing effective construction waste management, the project earned 6 out of 14 points in this category. These eco-friendly material choices added significant value to the project.
Indoor Environmental Quality:
The project achieved 10 out of 15 points in indoor environmental quality by incorporating low-emission materials, thermal comfort systems, and indoor air quality management. These measures enhanced the comfort of both guests and staff.
Innovation and Regional Priority Credits:
The project earned 4 out of 6 points in the innovation category and full points (4/4) in regional priority credits, demonstrating its innovative approaches and alignment with regional sustainability needs.
