In this context, the Tandem Textile Factory Office Section successfully completed the LEED BD+C: New Construction (v2009) certification process, earning an impressive 80 points to achieve Platinum Certification. This accomplishment highlights the meticulous efforts of our team and the effectiveness of our sustainability strategies.
The innovative methods and detailed planning implemented in this project ensured high scores across all LEED categories. Some key credit highlights include:
1. Energy and Atmosphere (29/35):
Energy efficiency was a primary goal of the project. Under the Optimize Energy Performance credit, the project earned the maximum 19 points. Additionally, on-site renewable energy usage contributed 7 points, reflecting effective strategies to reduce energy consumption and lower the project’s carbon footprint.
2. Water Efficiency (10/10):
The project achieved full points in water efficiency by implementing innovative technologies for water conservation and efficient use. Water-efficient landscaping and advanced wastewater management systems were key contributors to this success.
3. Sustainable Sites (15/26):
The project excelled in promoting alternative transportation options. Strategies such as access to public transportation and bicycle-friendly infrastructure significantly contributed to the project’s overall performance.
4. Indoor Environmental Quality (11/15):
User comfort and indoor air quality were prioritized throughout the project. Use of low-emission materials, enhanced ventilation rates, and optimized thermal comfort design were standout elements in this category.
5. Innovation and Regional Priority Credits (9/10):
The project addressed regional priorities while implementing innovative design solutions. Contributions from LEED Accredited Professionals and forward-thinking strategies were recognized and rewarded.
