At ERKE Design, we provided consultancy services for the LEED BD+C: New Construction (v2009) certification of the Dumankaya Flex Kurtköy project. Completed at the Silver level in November 2014, this project stands as an important example of combining environmentally friendly design with modern living spaces.
Project Achievements
Sustainable Site Utilization
The project earned 14 out of 26 points through strategies such as access to public transportation and parking spaces for low-emission vehicles. These measures aimed to reduce the carbon footprint while providing convenient transportation options for users.
Water Efficiency
By implementing innovative wastewater management systems and efficient landscaping designs, the project achieved 6 out of 10 points in the water efficiency category. These solutions delivered both environmental and economic benefits.
Energy Performance
The project earned 11 out of 35 points in the optimized energy performance category by successfully implementing strategies to reduce energy consumption. Advanced energy management systems were also integrated to enhance operational efficiency.
Indoor Environmental Quality
To improve indoor air quality and enhance occupant comfort, low-emission materials were used, and thermal comfort design was applied. The project achieved 7 out of 15 points in this category.
Regional Priority Credits
Solutions tailored to local sustainability priorities were developed, earning the full 4/4 points. Regional goals in water conservation and energy efficiency were successfully achieved.
